What's New on JudgeMarket: May 2026 Product Update

May was a build month. While the market did its own dramatic reshuffling — covered in our May market recap — we shipped a stack of changes that make JudgeMarket easier to read, search, and act on. Here's what's new.

Convert: swap one figure for another in one step

The headline feature is Convert. Until now, changing your mind about two figures meant two separate trades — sell one, buy the other. Convert collapses that into a single action: pick a figure you hold, pick the one you'd rather back, and see the live rate between them instantly.

The rate is just the ratio of each figure's reputation price. If Albert Einstein trades at 94 and Isaac Newton at 92, one Einstein converts to roughly 1.02 Newton. Move into a lower-priced figure and you get more shares; into a higher-priced one, fewer. It's the cleanest way yet to express the one judgment that matters most on a reputation market: I'm more convinced by this person than that one.

You can explore it three ways:

  • /convert — the main hub, pick any two figures
  • /convert/[figure] — every rate from one figure into all the others (e.g. Convert Elon Musk to anyone)
  • /convert/[from]-to-[to] — a dedicated page for a specific pair, with a conversion table and the full picture on both figures

One-tap execution is rolling out later in 2026 — for now the Convert pages show you the live rates and let you compare any matchup at a glance.

A daily news desk

JudgeMarket's news section is now a working wire desk. Every day it pulls coverage from 35 outlets — BBC, Guardian, Reuters-fed wires, Al Jazeera, Nikkei, Taipei Times, crypto and sports sources — clusters the stories that cover the same event, and writes tight, properly-sourced briefs tied to the figures involved.

In May that meant same-day coverage of the stories actually moving reputations: the US–Iran ceasefire talks, Anthropic's record funding round, court rulings, sports milestones, and more. Each brief links straight to the markets for the people in it, so you can read what happened and act on it in the same place.

Thousands of new comparison and discovery pages

We expanded the ways you can browse figures without knowing exactly who you're looking for:

  • Compare pages — head-to-head breakdowns like Einstein vs Newton or Satoshi vs Vitalik, now cross-linked with their Convert counterparts.
  • Convert pair pages — every matchup between figures now has its own page with a live rate and conversion table.
  • Topics, eras, and rankings — browse by theme (politics, crypto, science), by historical period, or by what's moving right now.

If you've ever wanted to find "the most influential scientists" or "crypto founders worth watching" without scrolling the whole roster, these are for you.

What's next

June's roadmap centers on making Convert fully transactable, deepening the news desk's coverage of figures outside the current roster, and continuing to expand comparison and discovery pages. As always, the market itself will write most of the story — the May recap is a good look at how dramatic that can get.
